i met Jeff through another special forces sog,he was living with his mom Maggie, sweet lady, at that time, jeff had a boat at the marina and visited him there often.i, been a vet my self, knew what he was going through.totally blew me away when my friend call me with the news.made the trip to la jolla to visit his grave side.he had a huge collection of war memorabilia,i wondered who kept any off it.
I worked with “JLJ” back in the mid 80’s when he owned La Jolla Surf Systems. As a young student from LA I knew knowing of past. You didn’t have too! He had this amazing energy about him that was “addicting” One couldn’t help but feel compelled to be around him. His presences in a room commanded “respect” without ever saying a word!..
For some reason he took a liking to me and told me about his MAC-SOG days and even gave me some of his “War memorabilia” Which I still have and honor today!. One which is actually hanging on my front door!
Those years at La Jolla Surf Systems and JLJ where some of the best years and still often find myself thinking about him! (like today why?… you would only know if you had met him)
